The Dalston based firm recently received accreditation from SAFEcontractor for the 3rd year running- a programme which recognizes very high standards of health and safety practice amongst UK contractors.
Employing over 45 people, MFL are principally involved in Steel fabrication and Installation, precision machining and crane hire. Specializing in the provision of steel fabrication services such as the manufacture and installation of staircases and walkways to all industries. With a £2millon turnover MFL's most recent clients have included major players such as Advantica Ltd, Montgomery Watson Harza and United Utilities PLC.
The company's application for SAFEcontractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business.

SAFEcontractor accreditation is expected to enhance the companies' ability to attract new contracts and it commitment to safety will viewed positively by its insurers when company policy is up for renewal. SAFEcontractor is operated by international safety, health and environmental risk management specialists, the National Britannia Group. The system is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors, all of which are big users of contract services.
